Getting your blog out to the masses via email using Feedblitz
The third tool in our Essential Blogging Tools series is Feedblitz - the rss to email workhorse; at the time of this post they were serving 702301 email addresses and 56746 active feeds!. The service is popular not only because you can use it to serve your feed to subscribers, but also because you can have any rss feed sent to you by email. This is syndication made easy.
RSS and Atom are great tools but as recent studies have shown, they haven’t been adopted by the majority of Internet users, while almost everyone understands how to use email. Some people have reported substantial increases in subscribers by offering this service.
Another great feature is that with email you can take it anywhere, store it in different formats, archive it in your email client and search it.
Getting started
This is pretty easy. Register for an account, login to the Dashboard, enter your feed address and start to post.

Under the My FeedBlitz box, click the New Feed link, type in your feed address and click “Publish Feed”. That’s it.
The next page you will see will code you can add to your site to allow subscriptions.
What else should I know?
Feedblitz is a very mature product and they have a long list of features. Premium services start at $4.95/month/feed and include the ability to customize the look of the email sent out. All levels of service include stats plus unlimited users.
